Bankview Residence
Our Bankview residence in an exercise in eclectic storytelling, creating a home full of idiosyncratic furnishings and accessories to truly reflect the homeowners who reside there. The home mingles vintage pieces, modern furniture from high street retailers and design classics, which are then accessorized with personal mementos, travel souvenirs and art pieces. The design is both bold and approachable, combining strong graphic patterns, as seen in the area carpet and toss cushions, with more subtle, natural textures. Colour plays an important role in creating a unique backdrop for each space to give each room it’s own personality. The office has walls of jet black with striking white trim to set off a colourful array of art and books. A mid-tone grey is used in the living room to create a slightly more quiet space, full of richly layered patterns and textures. The dining room is a bold peacock blue and compliments the brightly patterned Chiang Mai Dragon drapery.
