Lakeview Residence
This custom home, built by luxury home builder Mission Homes, was designed for a busy young family who is very active and loves to entertain. The client requested a bright and spacious interior with a timeless aesthetic complete with sophisticated details and finishes throughout. The architecture of the home was based on a formal floor plan, however, each room was creatively planned to best suit the family’s lifestyle. The formal entryway, lined with traditional paneling and plaster wall finishes, is bookended by an intimate study on one side and the formal dining room on the other.
Moving through to the back of the home, the hall opens to an expansive space featuring a large entertaining kitchen, a social bar, and a glamorous living room space. Every detail was attended to in the kitchen - each cupboard and drawer was meticulously planned and a luxury appliance package selected to create an exceptional kitchen for a passionate home cook. The wall of glazing facing the bar is an operable window system that opens to the outdoor covered patio and cooking space.
The upper level of the home features bedrooms for the two children as well as a guest suite and the master suite. The master bedroom was designed as a calming retreat complete with a pair of reading chairs and an in-suite coffee bar. The ensuite features a beautiful marble inlay floor, traditional detailing on the double vanity and a large steam shower with artisan ceramic tiles. The walk-in closet utilizes the space in the roof’s eaves to create an impressive amount of storage for designer shoes and clothes.
A particularly special part of the home is the wine tasting room and cellar to house the impressive collection of the homeowner. Accessed by a spiral stair encased in flagstone, the cellar is finished in limestone plaster with a barrel vault ceiling and leather strapped chandelier. A custom tasting table was handcrafted by local woodworkers out of hand-hewn solid walnut and features antique stair balusters in the leg detail.
